FAQs

Frond can assist at any stage of your landscaping journey- especially if you don’t know where to start! Whether you want to maximise your living spaces, require clarity or direction for your ideas on an outdoor renovation, want to save time & money (by avoiding costly mistakes), want to add value to your lifestyle and spend more time outside with family and friends, want to increase the value of your property, require more privacy or are simply not getting results or growth from your existing garden.
A landscape designer considers the unique features of your property like its orientation, conditions, size, soil type and sun exposure. Combined with understanding your brief, stylistic preferences and goals, they create a tailored design that blends aesthetics and functionality, creating harmony between nature and architecture.

Considerations for Softscaping (natural elements-trees, planting, lawn, lawn alternatives) and Hardscaping (paving, aggregate, decking, raised garden beds & edging, pools, fencing, retaining, screening and other design features like fire pits, outdoor kitchens, built-in seating, outdoor showers, formwork) and blending these elements to achieve beauty and practicality and work in harmony with the architecture and surrounding landscape. Materials, external finishes, outdoor furniture and feature pots are also included.

Frond specialises in native gardens and will opt for natives where possible, however this isn’t limiting to one style. Plants will be selected based on your preferred aesthetic and the conditions of the position they will be placed in. We want your garden to last and native plants are conditioned to thrive in their specific region, so require less maintenance than plants from other climates to survive. Native plants also attract local wildlife such as birds, bees and butterflies, contributing to the biodiversity and ecosystem of your property.
